Concreter invoice example: what a correct one looks like
The example below is a residential driveway: excavation and base prep, formwork, SL82 mesh, 32 MPa concrete supplied and pumped, then placed with a broom finish and saw-cut control joints. Each line carries its own quantity, so the m² rate for finishing and the m³ for concrete reconcile with the quote.
Concrete supply is shown as its own line rather than buried in the m² rate. Batching plant prices move, and when the pour needed an extra half metre, a visible m³ line explains the difference without an argument.

Trade-specific rules
GST notes for concreters
Concreting Services: slabs, driveways and paths priced per m² or per cubic metre, with concrete supply, pump hire and steel often on-charged at cost plus.
- Concrete, mesh and pump hire you charge to the customer carry GST at the price you charge, even though the supplier already charged you GST. You claim their GST back as a credit.
- Short-load or waiting-time fees from the batching plant are your costs. If you pass them on, add them as their own line with GST.
- Driveways and slabs over $1,000 (they nearly always are) need the customer's name or ABN on the tax invoice.

FAQ
Why show the MPa and the mesh type?
Because it is what the customer is paying for and what an inspector or the next owner will ask about. "32 MPa, SL82 mesh" in the description is a free warranty record.
What if the concrete ordered and used differ?
Invoice the volume actually delivered, as the batching plant docket shows. If you quoted 5 m³ and needed 5.5 m³, the extra half metre is a visible line, not a surprise.
How do I invoice an exposed aggregate or coloured finish?
As a separate line or as a different per-m² finishing rate, matching the quote. Keep oxide or aggregate supply as a materials line if you supplied it.
